Only 1% of surveyed parents said drowning was a home safety concern, yet 9 of 10 childhood drownings occur under adult supervision. Drowning is the leading cause of injury death for children under 4 and second for those under 14.

Our little girl drowned because adults were not paying attention. Their gross negligence caused the horrific, preventable drowning death of the only child we had, 6-year-old Roxie. We did not drown her, but we should have demanded more answers before trusting this facility, which admitted to operating a scheme with the American Red Cross representative to fraudulently certify counselors as American Red Cross lifeguards. We now help others eliminate this deadly and wholly preventable outcome.
